Marco Casamonti and Studio Archea

Domus magazine reports on a new underground winery with irregularly vaulted wine cellars. The unique profile of the vaulted area is made of prefabricated bricks and trusses. The underground area saves energy through constant airflow allowing for natural cooling and heating of the barrel rooms. The forms are quite striking as well.
